finep is a nonprofit project and consulting organization working in the area of sustainable development with a focus on the thematic fields of development policy, environmental policy and the promotion of local democracy. In collaboration with partner organisations in Europe and worldwide, finep develops and implements projects in the aforementioned fields.

In addition to its own project work, finep provides assistance and advice to local authorities and other nonprofit organisations in the areas of the acquisition of third-party funding, process consultation, facilitation, the provision of trainings as well as the elaboration of studies and educational concepts.

We strive for sustainability in our own actions.

Game On! - A Practical Guide to Campaigning

(02.02.2017) The new handbook „Game On! A Practical Guide to Campaigning" has been developed by finep in cooperation with Wigwam in the context of the "Make Fruit Fair!"-Campaign. It builds on useful insights of practical campaigning in 20 EU-States. The result is a toolbox  full of practical instructions that will help you to develop and implement your own campaign. It provides basic know-how on campaign strategies and introduces creative ideas and tools for your campaign activities. You can play through essential strategy elements, best practice examples, ideas for public action, and tools for online campaigning and media work.

Global How? A Trainer's Manual

(30. March 2016) The EU co-funded project Facilitating Global Learning is ending tomorrow. Our final activity is the manual "Global How? A trainer's manual" referring to the baseline study Global What? that initiated the project. In Global How? we summarise our experience from the three project countries and from the training courses which we implemented. The manual comprises advice and suggestions for trainer's in Global Learning for their own work. It focuses on nonformal education with adults but also offers impulses for all domains of education. Evaluation of two projects to reduce child labour in the textile supply chain

(22.09.2015) From June to September 2015 finep’s staff member Elke Rusteberg carried out two project evaluations in India. The projects in Gujarat und Tamil Nadu were supported by terre des hommes /Osnabrück and implemented by local partner organisations of terre des hommes.
Both projects focus on reducing the incidence of child labour in the textile supply chain covering different key aspects. The project „Clean Cotton – Without Child Labour and Exploitation“ in the state of Gujarat aims at reducing child labour in the cotton production regions and particularly at improving the situation of migrant workers’ families in the areas of health and education.
