Project Management

The joy of having received a project grant often gives way to some degree of disillusion when project staff underestimate the amount of time general project management tasks require in addition to the technical project work. Each donor agency has its own standards and obligations that need to be fulfilled in order to not be taken by unpleasant surprise later on. This ranges from clear definitions as regards eligible costs, financial documents to be submitted or quotes for goods and services to be obtained, via guidelines for making the contribution of the donor visible to the target groups, to requirements as regards interim and final reporting.

In addition to that, staff responsible for the implementation of the action should also be familiar with planning and monitoring tools.

In our trainings courses, all necessary approaches to managing a project successfully will be highlighted and the contractual obligations of the funding agency in question will be clearly explained.

In addition to general training sessions on, for instance, management of projects funded by the European Commission, monitoring and evaluation or planning instruments, which entire teams can participate in, we offer individual tailor-made courses for project staff and project teams.

The exact duration of the training depends on the needs. Usually, the courses have a duration of between half a day and two days.

We implement our courses worldwide in German, English, Spanish or Portuguese.
