In the European education project QualiFair - Qualification in Fair Trade an offer for multi-stage advanced training of staff working in the area of Fair Trade will be developed. Partner organisations from Austria, the Czech Republic and Germany are collaborating. The project takes up existing education concepts, develops them further and adapts them to the needs in the Czech Republic.
Results of the Project
The results of the evaluation of the Fair Trade Academy in Austria are available for further elaboration of the advanced training on offer. A five-part training manual for experts and management in the area of Fair Trade. The manual contains methodologies for the teaching and learning processes as well as references to related materials and literature. A CD-ROM with presentations on the various topics supplements the manual.
For this training methods of the concepts Global Learning and Education for Sustainable Development will be used. This allows for a holistic and hands-on teaching and learning process. This is of particular importance because the individuals that get engaged fair trade shops are in different stages of their lives, possess manifold experience and competences. The competencies for management and ability to act will be increased and a mutual educational level shall be reached.
